Restored

A Weekend of Healing, Hope and Renewal

Restored is a weekend retreat offered by the Diocese of Duluth, held from Friday through Sunday, designed to help adults encounter the healing, hope and joy that only Jesus can provide. It’s a time to step away from the noise of daily life and enter into a space of prayer, reflection, fellowship and spiritual renewal.

Delton and Sharon Hodge of Two Harbors have attended the Restored retreat every year. Delton admits he was hesitant at first, but now says, “They’re amazing! I wouldn’t miss one.” Sharon adds, “It’s just a beautiful weekend. It’s nice to get away and spend time with other like-minded people, learning and growing closer to God.” As a convert to the Catholic Church, Delton shares, “I’ve grown a lot in my faith, and this has been a big part of that. I felt restored — it was everything it promised.”

One of their favorite parts of the weekend is the small group sessions. “After listening to an hour-long talk, getting into a small group and hearing different perspectives changes your thought process and makes you think more deeply,” Delton explains. Sharon agrees, saying the discussions deepen the insights already stirring in your heart. Attending the retreat together has also strengthened their marriage. “Knowing we’re both trying to grow closer to God — the retreat helps us do that together,” Sharon says. “You just don’t know what God has in store for you.”

Each Restored retreat includes engaging presentations, music, prayer teams, spiritual direction, adoration, reconciliation, Mass, good food, recreation and time to rest. Whether you’ve never been on a retreat before or have attended many, Restored offers something meaningful for everyone.
